At True Directional Services, we deliver more than directional drilling — we deliver performance, precision, and partnership. Founded in 2013 by seasoned drillers, True was built on values like integrity, faith, and hard work. From the Permian to the Sichuan Basin, we’ve earned a reputation for drilling faster and farther with proven results.
What sets us apart isn’t just the technology — it’s the team. Our experienced crews lead from the floor, not the trailer, bringing hands-on expertise and a relentless drive to help our clients succeed. When you work with True, you get more than a service provider — you get a trusted partner in the field.
Dedication. Direction. Expertise.

Since then he has grown True into an international directional company with rigs across the US and all the way to China.
CFO / Vice President

From working floors, to VP of Safety for UDI, Directional Driller, and most recently a Drilling Consultant. Keith serves as True‘s VP and CFO since 2020. He has the experience and knowledge needed to find the solution to any issue you can throw at him.
Family & Faith
Our commitment to our MWDs and DDs is that Faith and Family is paramount to success.
True works on a continual schedule and not project to project. Our True teams know we ask a lot of them in the field and expect exceptional work, but that once their scheduled hitch is over they will be going home to the family to recharge.
Hard Work
89% Retention in Directional Drillers and MWD
Those who move on are in elevated positions; such as Co-men, Superintendents, Etc.
We want our guys to become your guys!
True doesn’t take the standard approach to tool service and maintenance standards. Where others start a MWD inspection after 500 hours, True is doing a full MWD tear down, borescope, and tolerance inspection after every 200 hours.
By investing in the latest technologies and equipment, True ensures its teams are equipped with the most advanced tools and techniques, enabling them to push the boundaries of what’s possible in directional drilling.
True’s success stems from forging strong partnerships with clients, providers, industry leaders, and location crews. These relationships enable collaboration, shared best practices, access to innovation, and consistent results.
Hands On
Our Team, from the office to the Rig, is dedicated to making sure a project is a success by having the right people taking care of the job.
We are in the team-building business. True will match the right people to the right project and grow that team onward.
Our Guys!
